Gov. Rodgers Issues Emergency Proclamation In Aidenton New Shire

RUFUS - Governor Lynn Rodgers has just issued an emergency declaration in Aidenton, New Shire, following reports that heavy flooding are scheduled to hit the coast early this week, and is preparing for mass flooding. As of now Governor Rodgers has directing authorities in Aidenton to remain alert and continue to update the Governor's office on any damage that may occur.

Gov. Rodgers issues an State of Emergency in Aidenton and the surrounding Maybell County. See that executive order here. The State of Emergency was issued on May 19, 2024, at 8:42 PM and remains in effect. New Shire State Police and local law enforcement will begin patrols of the area working to evacuate the main areas where the flooding will be the strongest.

Flooding can be expected starting on Wednesday May 22, 2024 and will likely last through the end of the month. Governor Lynn Rodgers is asking residents and visitors in these areas to pay close attention to local officials and listen to any evacuation orders issued by them or the Governor's Office.
