RUFUS - Governor Lynn Rodgers on Friday ordered the New Shire State Police to begin mobilizing and setting up security measures through Executive Order 045.50 and has ordered over 2,000 troopers to work security during Tuesday's first Republican Presidential Debate, which will be held in Rufus County, instead of the previously scheduled Peach Tree City Convention Center. The move comes after protests have ravaged the city since last month.

"The unfortunate protests have required the Federal Elections Board and the Commission Of Presidential Debates to move the debate to Rufus County, the heart of Jesstopian Politics and the nation," said Governor Lynn Rodgers. "We are pleased to be hosting it here, and are mobilizing our Troopers to ensure that the debate is safe, and is free of protesters as election day draws closer and closer. We will continue to monitor the protests in Peach Tree city, which officials there are dealing with wonderfully."

The Debates will be attended by people of the Republican party and security measures are being ramped up ahead of debate day which, is scheduled to kick off at 8:00 PM and go until 10:00 PM. Candidates from the Republican party will debate each other, hoping to secure their party's nomination to pit against Nationalist Party nominee, former Governor Thomas Cooke.

Traffic will also be redirected and Rufus' downtown center may experience heavy traffic and slight delays. Police will be checking vehicles with K9s and conducting random searches of vehicles. The Presidential Protective Service is dispatching hundreds of agents, part of the Debate Detail as threats continue to be a real challenge for Police.
