Governor Rodgers Signs LGBTQ Protection Act
FROM GOVERNOR LYNN RODGERS
For Immediate Release
March 28, 2025
RUFUS - Governor Lynn Rodgers has signed the 2025 LGBTQ Protection Act into law, something that Republicans were eager to dismiss. The act passed with all Nationalist support and no support from Republicans. She signed the bill early this morning, and provided that "all New Shirens will be protected and be allowed to express and be who they want to be." She went on to say that "the federal government should not be involved in State LBGTQ policy or dictate such policies that hurt the well being of ALL Jesstopians."
"I am extremely proud of the bill we just signed into law that will enshrine protections for all LGBTQ New Shirens," said Governor Lynn Rodgers. "The federal government should not tell anyone what they should do with their body. I will continue to fight the discriminatory laws and policies that are enacted under the Laylin administration to protect the interests and livelihoods of all Jesstopians."
The act which is now law, will prevent any New Shiren from being denied access to body enhancement or gender affirming care, including surgeries or hormonal treatment. She is expected to sign several other laws to supplement the LGBTQ Protection Law.
